Established in July 1994, Zhejiang Grand Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. is engaged in import and export trade. In recent years, owning to the hard work of the staff, as a result of the implementation of the employee shareholding scheme in 1999, the company witnessed an earthshaking change in business. In 2001, the total portfolio of import and export trade reached 420 million US dollars and the total assets to RMB 600 million Yuan. It ranked No. 1 in Ningbo and ranked 93 in the top 200 national import and export trading companies in China.
Export trade products include wooden craftwork and gifts, recreational and sports products, clothing, magnetic steel, timer, automobile accessories as well as other series. The products are sold around the world and stable trade partnerships have been established with more than 200 clients from more than 50 countries and regions including USA, Japan and European Union. The main import products include plastic materials, liquid chemical materials, compound for medicine, timber, metal materials and other staple products from South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, India, US, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and other countries. Close relationships have been maintained with LG, SK, Daelim, Hyundai in South Korea, Mitsubishi in Japan, Formosa Chemical & Fiber in Taiwan, Esso and Mytex in Singapore, Reliance in India and other world leading companies, as well as establishing exclusive distribution rights of a wide variety of foreign products.
The company attaches equal importance to trade and industry, through the development of industrial projects by trade and conversion of service trade to technical service trade by science and technology. The company is carrying out brand strategy to integrate export product resources and absorb a batch of industrial projects into Zhejiang Grand Import & Export Co., Ltd. by consolidation, acquisition and merges, etc. At present, the SBS modified asphalt project used for high-grade expressway and construction material; the Grand Industrial Park and Logistics Center on the invested land of 175 mu, near the 20, 000 tonnage universal dock in Daxie Economic and Technical Development Zone, is under construction.
